URGENT unstoppable beeping VUAMS
Good afternoon,
Our VUAMS has been acting out. Last week we started having 0Kb for the first time even though we stopped the recording before taking out the batteries. After a couple of days, last Friday, the device made a different beep when we wanted to start a recording. It sounded similar (though not identical) to your ¨File Error´ beep in your support site. It was an unendless beep and there was a message about checking the cable (cable was ok). After that we tried again and it seemed to work but when we took the flashcard there was no file. We tried a second time and the same thing happened. How can we fix this? We are in the middle of the study at the moment.

Re: URGENT unstoppable beeping VUAMS
Firstly please format the CF card like described in the video at 1:50 in the link below:
http://www.vu-ams.nl/support/tutorials/troubleshooting
Secondly please check by looking straight into the VU-AMS device and straight into the card reader in the direction the CF card would travel when you insert it. All 50 pins should be ‘looking’ straight at you like in the photo below.
A bend pin is something we have encountered before. This could possibly damage the CF card which on its turn could bend another pin in another device etc.
Best,
Jarik
